Born in Wales, Isaac Jones came to Canada in 19086 with his elder sister Elisabeth Kitchen and her family.


Mrs. Kitchen’s family settled in Alberta7, while Isaac came to the Similkameen Valley and in 1911 was a freight packer working on a road crew. At the time of his enlistement he was working as a prospector. Isaac enlisted in Medicine Hat, AB on February 1916 and lists Mrs. Kitchen as his next of kin.
