Do I Need to Remove My Hat Inside the Legion?
Yes. Branch 192 continues to follow the traditional Legion practice of removing hats and head coverings while indoors. This long-standing custom reflects the respect, comradeship, and traditions that are central to the Royal Canadian Legion.
Exceptions are made for religious headwear, medical requirements, and approved private events.

To comply with liquor licensing requirements, guests must be signed in by a member in good standing. The sponsoring member must remain with their guest during the visit and is responsible for their conduct while on branch premises.

What Are the Guest Sign-In Requirements?
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, Branch 192 follows guest sign-in procedures in accordance with liquor licensing requirements.
Guest Sign-In Guidelines
- All guests must be signed into the Visitors’ Register upon arrival.
- The sponsoring member must hold a valid Legion membership and be in good standing.
- Guests must remain with the sponsoring member throughout their visit.
- If the sponsoring member leaves the branch, their guests must leave as well.
- Members of other Royal Canadian Legion branches may present their valid membership card and sign the register upon arrival.
- Guest limits and other house rules may vary depending on branch policies, events, or special circumstances.

Do I need to be a veteran to become a member?
